Two Democrats and one Republican are running. Our candidate is John Brown who, with his wife, Suzanne, have owned and operated several businesses including Jessup Heating & Air since 2000. James Ingram - This millennial understands that his generation will be left to cope with decisions being made in government today. He wants to empower young people with an understanding of the superiority of conservative thought and smaller government. Learn more at james4gso.com

MA Bakie - This immigrant from Western Africa is a graduate of High Point University and a successful small businessman who also recognizes the need for better job opportunities in Greensboro - real jobs that can support families and enable them to obtain better education. Mr. Bakie, as he is known is running his campaign from Facebook. Mr. Bakie's email is bakiecommittee@gmail.com

District 5

Tony Wilkins - Incumbent and the lone Republican on the Council, Tony is used to being in the minority when voting time comes. You probably know him as a small businessman who was appointed to the council to replace now Senator Wade, and has subsequently been re-elected to the position. Tony faces well-financed democrat opposition this time out. www.tonywilkins.com

Tanner Lucas - Tanner is an energetic newcomer to the political scene. He is nearing the end of his degree program while working full time and he is a devoted conservative who wants to achieve smaller government. Tanner’s passion is infectious. District 1

Another of our millennial candidates is Devin King who is challenging the incumbent, Sharon Hightower. Devin is a working family man who creed is conservative.
