Greetings from the Land of Lobster!
Stephanie and I are in New England at this long-planned wedding weekend. Family and old friends have joined together to witness the joining of these two lovebirds here in beautiful Maine this evening. We were able to spend time showing old friends around my home town of Boston yesterday. It’d had been awhile since I toured the “yahd at Hahvahd.”
Of course, I also wish I could be in Greensboro to welcome President Trump to our beautiful city. I hope he enjoys hearing from people who appreciate what a great job he is doing in the face of such devastating national tragedies. Who would have predicted all that America would face over these last difficult weeks? Rescue and recovery operations in Houston, Florida, Puerto Rico and Las Vegas have been unprecedented.
The tender personal care exhibited by our first couple has reminded us all that at the end of the day, we are Americans and we pull together to help one another when circumstances demand it. What a country!
I understand there has been some fan mail in my absence and I look forward to answering it following the wedding. In the meantime, I want to wish the students and alumni of A&T a very safe and happy homecoming weekend. Go Aggies! I hope you all have a wonderful time back in Greensboro!
Friends and family, people, hold them close.
